Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 The living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
