Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a known extent. 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
