Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 Till a limit known? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
