Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 For the living and the dead. 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
