Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 storming tempestuously 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what day is it timed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
