Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the loosed ones successively 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 for the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
