Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 and the severally severing 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 till a known term decreed? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 The living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
