Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
