Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
50 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah) before Q (Qaaf)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 The living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 And when the time comes for messengers -- 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40

Notes and Instructions

Click or tap the triangle to the left of "random" to go to a random page before the current page, or the triangle to the right to go to a random page after the current page. Using these features of ColorfulQuran.com, you can use the right triangle or arrowhead to skim through the entire Holy Book from the first Surah, The Key (Al-Fatihah), to the last, The People (An-Nas), in a few minutes while stopping at random pages in between. This will make your readings cluster more on Juz Amma's short surahs at the end of the Quran. You can also do the same in reverse order using the left triangle or arrowhead, which will cluster your readings more at the beginning of the Holy Quran.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
