Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 storming tempestuously 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 until an appointed time? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
