Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the loosed ones successively 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
