Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 excusing or warning, 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 for an appointed term? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
