Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 For a known term? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 the living and the dead? 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
