Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what day is it timed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 For a known calculated term. 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
