Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 and the severally severing 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 excusing or warning, 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 for an appointed term? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
