Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 separating one from another, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 for an appointed term? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for the living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
