Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 storming tempestuously 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
