Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 storming tempestuously 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 The living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
