Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
