Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 Till a limit known? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
