Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a known term? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
