Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 for an appointed term? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
