Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 separating one from another, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 Till a limit known? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
