Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 as black camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
