In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 storming tempestuously 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 Till a limit known? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
