Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 excusing or warning, 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 For a known calculated term. 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 So like golden camels." 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
