Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 for an appointed term? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
