Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 For a known term? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 as black camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
