Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 As justification or warning, 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 until an appointed time? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 The living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
