In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 till a known term decreed? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 for the living and the dead? 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
