Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 For a known term? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 The living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
