Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And those that strike violently, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 For the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
