Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 separating one from another, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 and place it in a secure place 21 for an appointed term? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 the living and the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
