Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 As justification or warning, 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
