Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
