Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 excusing or warning, 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a known calculated term. 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
