Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 till a known term decreed? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
