Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
