Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 For a known extent. 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
