Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 till a known term decreed? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
