Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 For the living and the dead. 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
