Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 and the severally severing 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
