Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 and place it in a secure place 21 Till an appointed term, 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
