Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
