Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 And those that strike violently, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 and yellow camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
