In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 and place it in a secure place 21 Till a limit known? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
