Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 storming tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
