Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 Till a limit known? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
