Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 excusing or warning, 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a known extent. 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
