Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 And those that strike violently, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 Till an appointed term, 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
